SMU hosts the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition, a biennial deep‑tech startup challenge that offers a global platform for student founders and more than S$2.5 million in prizes. The competition connects participants with investors and mentors and encourages innovations that address sustainability and urban challenges. 

HCMUT’s Technology Business Incubator and its university-owned enterprise form the backbone of its entrepreneurship support system. The incubator offers mentorship, prototyping facilities, funding support, and access to international networks. Startups are nurtured through both in-house innovation programs and public competitions such as Bach Khoa Innovation, the university’s flagship annual challenge.
