About AUN-UIE

The ASEAN University Network (AUN) was founded in 1995 under the auspices of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to strengthen and expand cooperation among leading universities.Today the network has 30 core members and 184 associate members and serves as a regional platform for academic collaboration and integration. 

AUN‑UIE is one of AUN’s 17 thematic networks. Established in 2018, AUN‑UIE aims to enhance the innovative capacity of universities by fostering collaborations across academia, industry and government. Through knowledge sharing, strategic partnerships and community engagement, AUN‑UIE strengthens the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem across the ASEAN region.

Equip students and faculty with tools, knowledge and platforms to develop scalable impactful ventures informed by a global perspective.

Governance and Leadership

AUN‑UIE is co‑led by Prof Sun Sun Lim, Vice‑President (Partnerships & Engagement) at Singapore Management University, and Dr Ronnakorn Vaiyavuth, Head of Innovation Project and Sustainability Development at Chulalongkorn University . The network’s steering committee also includes representatives from Institut Teknologi Bandung, De La Salle University, Universiti Malaya and Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City.
