About Royal University of Phnom Penh


The Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) is Cambodia’s oldest and largest public university, founded in 1960. With recognized strengths in computer science, engineering, and environmental science, RUPP hosts the National Incubation Center of Cambodia (NICC), which serves as a flagship national innovation hub. NICC advances tech entrepreneurship, research translation, and university-industry collaboration, helping Cambodia develop a stronger knowledge economy.

RUPP National Innovation and Collaboration Centre (NICC) offers approximately 60 sqm of co-working space with six dedicated startup desks. Established through a KOICA-funded partnership, NICC provides early-stage ventures with:

  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced practitioners

  • Pitch training and commercialization support

  • Access to R&D infrastructure to advance product development

Benefit for AUN-UIE Member Universities

NICC is open to collaboration and frequently partners with other ASEAN institutions, offering opportunities for joint initiatives and cross-border engagement.
