EssentiNutrien Sdn. Bhd. — Led by Prof. Dr. Fung Shin Yee, the company is the first to produce patented Tiger Milk Mushroom extracts with verified bioactivities, targeting chronic asthma and other health applications.

Xcess Pressure Sdn. Bhd. — Founded by Dr. Iswadi Jauhari, this green energy spin-off specializes in in-pipe hydro power generation and has secured pilot projects with major Malaysian utilities.

UM cultivates a thriving entrepreneurial culture through integrated programs and infrastructure. The university supports innovation through curriculum-embedded initiatives, innovation districts, student startup competitions, and industry-academic co-creation programs. Notably, the Deep Tech Startup Programme provides six months of venture-building support for research-driven startups, while various bootcamps and mentoring activities nurture entrepreneurial talent across all academic levels.
