Ready for open innovation or not? An open innovation readiness assessment model (OIRAM)

This academic paper introduces the Open Innovation Readiness Assessment Model (OIRAM), a conceptual framework developed to help organizations evaluate their capacity to implement open innovation initiatives. Drawing on extensive literature and existing models, the paper identifies six key readiness dimensions across internal and external factors, including knowledge management, change strategy, IP management, and network engagement. It offers a structured guide for managers seeking to assess and strengthen their innovation capabilities before embarking on open innovation efforts.
